Riding on the Metro Oh Oh

Just a quickie. This was me on my Metro ride home today. Blech. Why they only run one Yellow Line train for every two or three Green Line trains during Rush Hour I'll never know.

Boba Fett vs. Riddick

More fun with ballpoint pens and color palettes.

Eva vs. Valkyrie

Still playing around with limited palettes. Not totally sure about this one, but it should do.

Mad Tiger Mad Tiger in Color!

Mad Tiger in color! Hopefully I have time to order a print to give Peelander-Z at their DVD release party this weekend.

Tetsuo vs. Vader

Tried a little something different for this week's Geek Wars. Messing around with different limited palettes to see what's up.

Mad Tiger Mad Tiger!

Whee! Peelander Z fanarts! I finally got a chance to ink this sucker. Hopefully, I have time to color and order a proper print before they come back to B'more next weekend.

More Webcomics?

I love comics so much that when a friend asks if I want start up a webcomic, instead of saying "go pound sand" I say, "sure, why the hell not?"

Can you tell who Bruce is based on? I have a goatee in real life, but it just didn't look right in the sketch. So I won't be sporting a goatee. Still working on the style, but this is probably the direction I'm going to take this one. More as it develops.

Shell Head vs. Bucket Head

Quick and dirty sketch for more Super Geek Wars. It's Iron Man vs. Master Chief!

Gundam vs. Prime

Started a new feature on me bloggy and this is the first illustration. Should be fun coming up with more matches. Check out the Super Geek Wars.

Teh Spwugs

Whoohoo! Did a little header image for Spwug, a new fan magazine that I work with sort of as creative director which means I help with the web stuffs and covers. Wheee! The site isn't quite ready for general consumption, but you can sneak a peak and see what's going on.

Quest to Nowhere Fanart

Holy shit, two posts in one freaking week! This is a little piece of fan art for Quest to Nowhere. I wanted to get this done sooner, but my first idea was utter shit. This one is a bit better. Slighty worried about the contrast and the color choice, but I find if I muck around with it too much, I'll loose the energy of the pose.

Ultrazilla vs. Megazord - Final

All it takes is a little energon and a lot of luck. Off to get me a print!

Ultrazilla vs. Megazord - SPECIUM BEAMUU!

BOOM!

Ultrazilla vs. Megazord - Cel Shading

Here some shell shading to add mood. Now, blast the shit out of Megazord!

Ultrazilla vs. Megazord - Lights

Painted in some lights. Going to move on to the characters and add in some fog overall when that's done. Probably more lighting too.

Ultrazilla vs. Megazord - Blocking

Finally carved out some time to work on my Kaiju piece for the upcoming show. Flatted my line art and started blocking in some shapes. More as it goes.

I Gotta Believe - Final

You know what, fuck it. I'm submitting this sucker. Can't spend all day second guessing.

I Gotta Believe - Colors?

Not sure about this color scheme. Gonna have to sit on this a bit.

I Gotta Believe - Cleanup

Didn't get terribly far, but I cleaned up some of the lines for better readability. Gonna have to choose colors now and decide on whether or not to color it and how to color it.

I Gotta Believe

I finally have an idea for Threadless so I'm going to try to finish this bastard over the weekend. I'm also going out of town for the weekend so this should be interesting. I'm entering into the Parapa "I Gotta Believe" contest. This is the lineart for my entry. Gotta pick some colors and clean the shit up, but maybe you can see a little of what I'm going for. I'll explain more as I get to the clean up. Probably should sleep now.
